Happy Spring!

Shelves of Whiskey

I had so much fun wandering around Lexington this past weekend with the camera that my kind stepdad let me borrow.  I find that sometimes my favorite pictures are those of ordinary objects.  We spend so much time seeking perfection that we rarely look around and see the beauty around us.

Constant Change

We can’t always see it, but we know it’s there.

Sometimes it looks different, but we know it’s the same.

It may be small, but we need it.

A constant change in chaotic world.

Sunset Moon

I wandered out for a walk this evening.  I was lucky enough to catch this bright moon as the sun was setting, highlighting the view with a pink glow.

The Reason Why I Attend School

Rome, Italy

As some of my more avid followers may have noticed, I haven’t been posting much lately.  It isn’t that I’m not logging on and reading posts, I just am struggling to find the inspiration to write anything.  This is common when I’m drowning in school work.

As I drag through the next week and a half of finals, I need to remind myself the reason I’m mucking through school.  I torture my mind with endless textbooks and homework so I can get a great job.  I will obtain a great and meaningful job so that I can travel.  I don’t need to be wealthy with money, I crave to be rich with knowledge and experience.  I desire to see everything from the ancient wonders of the world, to the African safari, to the Great Barrier Reef.  I want to do it all. I will do it all.  There is too much in life to merely sit at a desk waiting for 5 o’clock to arrive every day.  I will travel, I will share my stories, I will share my pictures.  I will learn about people from cultures all around the world.  I will devour myself with the histories, traditions, and passions of our fellow earth-beings.  I will spread awareness and joy.  I will help make this world a better place in any way I can.  I will make sure my life is not wasted wishing.

“Ignoring your passion is slow suicide.  Never ignore what your heart pumps for.  Mold your career around your lifestyle, not your lifestyle around your career.”  -Unknown
