In high school people asked you what you wanted to major in.

I want to major in travel and in people.  In art and romance and music.  In love and photography and free writing.  In peace and philanthropy.

In college they ask you what you are majoring in.

You are so lucky you’ve gotten the chance! I am struggling to find a balance, because I’m afraid of life getting in the way and I’ve seen the rigid working life destroy too many loved ones.
Thanks for your insight, you are one lucky person!

I too am retired though not by choice. I’m 53 and far younger in my head. If I had one piece of advice to give it would be this. Do not let life get in the way of things you want to do. Find a way to make things work. if you want to travel the world then go do that. Even if it means you have to spend some of your trip working crummy jobs to get to the next place. Remember that you are dead for a long time. This life is not a rehearsal!

Wow, this is incredible advice. I had never really looked at it that way. Thank you so much, I fully intend on breaking out of this rut and making it happy. It’s people and comments like this that give me motivation to pursue my dreams!
